Grandparents Have The Right To Ask For Time With Grandchildren

The United States Supreme Court addressed grandparents’ rights in Troxel v. Granville, 530 U.S. 57, 120 S.Ct. 2054, 147 L.Ed. 2d 49 (2000). Missourians use Section 452.402 RSMo. The statute allows a court to order grandparent time under certain conditions where doing so is in the child’s best interest.

Caring Representation For Concerned Grandparents

Dan Pingelton has represented both grandparents obtaining time, as well as parents opposing a schedule for various reasons. Most of these cases are resolved with a good dose of common sense and polite conversation with everyone. An 8×10 picture of the child/grandchild in the middle of the conference room table can work wonders.
